Philadelphia International Airport

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) serves more than 30 million passengers annually and is the only major airport serving the 5th largest metropolitan area in the United States and the second largest city on the East Coast. Renowned for the quality of its concessions program, PHL features 224,000 square feet of stores and eateries throughout Terminals A through F.

The concessions program, which now features 170 in-line stores, restaurants, and services, plus 3 retail merchandising unit locations, is nationally recognized for the quality of its food service, retail, and passenger services program. Distinguished by eateries such as Chickie’s & Pete’s, Bud & Marilyn’s, Vino Volo, and Local Tavern; retailers including GAP, Brooks Brothers, Vera Bradley, Johnston & Murphy, Tumi, Coach and Pandora; and services such as XpresSpa and Minute Suites, the concessions program is constantly evolving to address changing passenger needs, terminal configurations, airline gates and destinations, security regulations, and retail and restaurant industry trends.

MarketPlace has overseen the complete redevelopment and transformation of the concessions program throughout PHL since 1995 in partnership with the City of Philadelphia. In December of 1994, the City of Philadelphia selected MarketPlace to redevelop and manage the food service and retail concessions at PHL. The City of Philadelphia again selected MarketPlace in 1999 for the retail development and management of the new Regional and International Terminals. In 2014, MarketPlace, in a joint venture with LeJeune and Associates, LLC, was selected by the City of Philadelphia for the multi-year Master Lease and Concession Management Agreement at PHL.
