A New York State of Mind
LaGuardia Airport has earned its place in the hearts and minds
of travelers as a big-city airport with a hometown feel. The Central
Terminal Building (CTB), with its well-designed layout for easy
access to ticketing and gates, provides passengers with a hospitable
welcome. The redevelopment of the 46,000 square foot retail program,
undertaken by MarketPlace Development in partnership with The
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, offers passengers a
wealth of shopping and dining options in a modernized and spacious
terminal.
Quality, variety, value, convenience and service are hallmarks
of the concessions program. To meet the shopping needs of the
Terminal’s discriminating travelers, the retail program
includes more than 38 retail and news/gift shops featuring such
name brands as Brookstone and Sunglass Hut and New York favorites
such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store and Discover New
York. The Terminal also features more than 29 restaurants and
eateries, including the Figs Restaurant and Figs Café by
celebrity chef Todd English, and quick serve venues like Wendy’s
and Brooklyn National Deli.
