USA. MarketPlace Development, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and hospitality platform Servy have launched Order Now at Reagan National Airport and Dulles International airports.

The programmes will be powered by Servy’s Grab Airport Marketplace ecommerce platform. This allows travellers to order and pay for food and beverages via their phones from outlets airport-wide. Later this summer, passengers can order delivery straight to their gate via AtYourGate.

The Washington airports agreement extends Servy’s reach in the US market

Branded IAD Order Now and DCA Order Now, the platform is available through the DC Airports app as well as through other in-airport platforms including selected airline apps.

Servy SVP of Business Development Jason Rickoff said: “As travel continues to pick up across the board in the US and beyond, it is vitally important for airports to provide digital ordering options for guests, who now expect them as standard in all areas of their lives. Through Servy’s Grab Airport Marketplace, IAD Order Now and DCA Order Now offer convenient, flexible options, enabling travellers and airport staff to easily place orders from digital devices for pick-up, with the option coming later this summer of having their choices delivered to them in the airport.

“We’re thrilled to be launching this program with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and MarketPlace Development to enhance the travel experience and reach more guests during their journey through the Mid-Atlantic region.”

“We’re very excited to collaborate with Servy in bringing the Order Now digital platform to IAD and DCA. Since its inception, the intent of our company has been to transform the passenger experience and provide innovative amenities for travellers at our airports. Through this partnership, we are able to further implement this goal,” said Mike DiCosola, President of MarketPlace Development.

PHL Food & Shops welcomes the expansion of retail options for passengers

PHILADELPHIA — Sept. 1, 2022 — Shopping options at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) continue to grow for travelers as PHL Food & Shops welcomes 1920 Merch and Lily Palmer Flowers & Gifts to the robust roster of more than 170 eateries, retail shops and services available to passengers. Both stores are now open in the B/C connector.

1920 Merch is the first airport store of its kind. This Nashville-based company promotes voting rights for all women and citizens through its unique products. With its apparel collection, the company celebrates the 19th Amendment and honors the women who have fought for their right to vote. The PHL location sells T-shirts and other one-of-a-kind gifts and souvenirs.

Lily Palmer Flowers & Gifts offers signature floral designs and unique gifts for travelers. With Philadelphia being one of the country’s leading flower hubs, this store location allows passengers access to custom flower arrangements and other products, like candles, gift cards and more. The Nashville-based company offers PHL customers exclusive cylindrical travel packaging designed to protect flowers during travel.

“We are thrilled to expand our retail offerings at Philadelphia International Airport,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “1920 Merch and Lily Palmer offer wonderful gift options to our travelers for their final destination and have missions that align with MarketPlace’s own values.”

“SLA Worldwide is excited to partner with the Philadelphia International Airport to open 1920 Merch, the first airport store honoring the ratification of the 19th Amendment,” said Sandra Long, Founder and CEO of SLA Worldwide. “One hundred two years ago, the Philadelphia women’s suffrage movement played a key role in securing voting rights for American women. We recognize this milestone with the opening of the new 1920 Merch store in the Philadelphia Airport. We invite travelers to join the celebration by visiting 1920 Merch to view historic photography and purchase one-of-a-kind gifts and souvenirs.”

“My fondest childhood memories revolve around my mother’s brilliant rosebushes and expansive backyard gardens. She loved flowers and plants and the joy they bring to people,” said Long. “SLA Worldwide is honored to introduce the first Lily Palmer Flowers & Gifts, in honor of my mother, to the Philadelphia Airport. The Lily Palmer team looks forward to delighting Philadelphia Airport travelers with the freshest blooms, packaged in an exclusive travel cylinder designed to protect and safely deliver our flowers to their final destination.”
